My name is Qing Xu. Grew up in Hangzhou,southern city of China,a cultural art atmosphere rich city,I started to learn drawing in a university art studio since the age of 13, and 10 years later,was graduated from China Academy of Art, the most influential academy of fine arts in China.
After immigrated to Canada,I studied in Vancouver Film School to learn animation design which is a total new experience to me.
I am interested in various drawing and painting style such as pencil sketch, gouache,acrylics,watercolor etc., but I like oil paintings the most, because the dazzle colorful material can easily transform my views of the nature to an artistic work.

Multicultural background make it possible for me to view the world in different ways and furthermore combine different kinds of art medium to express complicated women's inner world. Working with oil and acrylics, I can deeply reveal the essence of the subjects. Each of my painting brings different mood, color and emotion,but they all share a common point, that is a sensitive woman's heart which is always filled with hope for the brightenning future.
Paintings express my way of viewing the world, it is also a reward for peaceful mind given by the nature.
A painting with perfect combination of light, shape and colour will give people new inspiration of life,new hope of life. With a stong sense of colour,I can grasp the subtle changes of color and light,then transform it to my artwork,which intend to show people how to appreciate the beatiful side of life.
